RE: Any experience at Traverse Bay RV Resort

Nice Park. We were there in a 26 ft class C and felt welcome. Free WIFI worked fine. The traffic around Traverse City can be a bear.

Rafter J During Bike Week

Just got off the phone with Rafter J - nice folks. Made a reservation for seven nignts arriving 8/4/08 which is Bike Week. How crowded will it be? Did I make a mistake? If I made a mistake and need to reschedule later in August, when do things wind down from Bike Week?
I really want to be there that week but if it is going to be so crowded that we can't enjoy Wind Cave, Jewel Cave, the nature loop, Mt. Rushmore, etc. we can reschedule.
Thanks in advance.

RE: Small Country Campground

Linda,
The rvparkreviews.com old reviews are all still there. There is a new feature however. At the bottom of the newer reviews there is a link "Display older reviews for campground" that you have to click.

RE: Port Richey, Fl.

Take a look at Jamar North in New Port Richey and Three Lakes Resort in Hudson. This area of Florida is VERY Busy. The traffic along Rt 19 is horrible. There are a few small beaches in the area but nothing spectacular and not within a mile or so. Not sure if either of these parks meet your $550/month objective.

RE: Lake Cumberland, KY and Wolf Creek Dam

Head about 75 miles south of Lake Cumberland to Dale Hollow Lake on the Kentucky-Tennessee border. Lots of houseboat rental places, larger than Cumberland, same clean water and beautiful scenery,a little harder to get to. Looks like Dale Hollow has some lake level issues too, however.

RE: Florida Everglades

Yes as mentioned above and Everglades City might have a few openings in some of the commercial campsites from fish camp type to http://www.outdoor-resorts.com/ has a 10 star one.
All the "fish camp" places in Everglades City have been sold for Condo projects and a $500,000/lot Condo RV park.
ORA on Chokoloskee Island has rental spots that start at about $85/night. From January first through March, better have reservations made months in advance. The phone number for the rental office is 239-695-2881.
Here is a LINK to another post about ORA with my detailed description of the park.

RE: 2 in Titusville for your opinions please

Just left Great Outdoors after 6 nights there. $35/night and if you paid for two nights the third was free. Special may be over now though. Nice community focused on long term stays by owners and renters. Lots of activities, golf courses, library, fishing lakes, shuffleboard, restaurant, community church, tennis courts, golf cart rental, on site RV sales, nice RV parts store, post office, etc. All sites are paved, back in, WES, 30/50 amp, cable TV.
Be sure to visit the Kennedy Space Center while you are there.

RE: Texas T Campground

We have stayed there many times. It is fine as an overnight stop. There are no activities in the park and there is nothing nearby. Grounds are neat and clean. We don't use the restrooms so can't comment about them.
Roads and sites are gravel. Sites are level. A few small trees. Sites are fairly close together. Usually a few long term residents. Propane on site. Easy on and off of expressway. Some road noise. No WIFI. Good Verizon cellphone and 1X data service.
